Phase V (2023-present)

In 2023, FEE launched the Litter Less Plus Campaign, a year-long, global awareness campaign focused on reducing litter, waste and invisible pollutants by encouraging more responsible consumption (and production) of things and taking a circular economy approach to the way our homes, schools, businesses and communities work.
This report is also in line with FEE’s 10.year strategic plan, ‘GAIA 20:30’, with three critical goals in mind; to empower climate action, reduce environmental pollution and protect global biodiversity
The Guide for Teachers and Educators offers guidelines on how to implement Litter Less Campaign activities in formal and non-formal educational settings.
The Achieving Global Best Practices in Education for Sustainable Development report on how the campaign has contributed to Education for Sustainable Development since 2011.
Phase IV (2020-2022)

The LLC has at this point been running for 11 consecutive years (Phase I, II, III, and IV) all around the globe. It underlines tangibly the importance of dealing with the issue of litter and waste. The campaign entered its fifth phase in January 2022 and published this Brochure.
Phase III (2017-2019)
The Litter Less Campaign was implemented through the Eco-Schools and Young Reporters for the Environment Programmes.
In 2019, the overall goal of the Campaign is to reduce litter and positively affect long-term behavior change among global youth.
Up until 2019, 35 countries around the world had participated and over 15,000 students surveyed to understand their perceptions of litter and waste.
