This is decided on a case-by-case basis.
If no other FEE member exists in your country, it is possible that governing body or social enterprise can become an Affiliate Member, under the condition that they identify a nongovernmental organisation within 3 years that will take over as the national FEE member.

If there is already a FEE member organisation in your country, please contact the organisation directly for more information about possible cooperation around the Foundation for Environmental Education programmes in your country.

Yes, there are 3 different membership statuses. All new members begin as Associate Members. If the member is able to successfully implement a minimum of two FEE programmes after 5 years, they may become Full Members.
In the case that a FEE member already exists in a country, other organisations may apply to be Affiliate Members.

Yes. Please note that we charge organisations a one-time non-refundable application fee of €250 when they apply.

Yes. The member organisation pays an annual membership fee to the Foundation for Environmental Education depending on the membership status of the organisation (associate or full membership) and the GDP per capita of the country of the member organisation.
The affiliate membership fee is €400.

Yes. In addition to the annual membership fee, members are also responsible for paying programme levies.
