Why FEE?

The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is a leading global environmental education NGO headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. Our mission is to engage and empower individuals to address climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution through Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Environmental Education (EE). With over 40 years of impactful experience, FEE's programs such as Eco-Schools, Blue Flag, Green Key, Learning About Ecosystems and Forests (LEAF), and Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) reach millions worldwide.

FEE operates through a network of member organisations in over 80 countries, ensuring that our educational initiatives are adapted to regional contexts and have a global reach.

A recent Social Return on Investment (SROI) Analysis conducted found returns of between $17 and $51 for every $1 invested.

For over a decade, FEE and the Mars-Wrigley Foundation have partnered together to advocate and promote environmental literacy in schools globally. Together, we have reached over 4 million youth in 40 countries over the years.
